Job Description

We're hiring a Supply Chain Analyst  who is an individual contributor supporting the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement team as we are embarking on an Integrated Supply Chain transformation.   The Strategic Sourcing team is responsible for overseeing >$1.5B Spend and >7000 suppliers. The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for assembling and analyzing data & market trends, troubleshooting issues, and developing recommendations to support the organization.  This opportunity has high potential for growth within Grace, a leading Specialty Chemical Company, and is located at our corporate headquarters in Columbia, MD. Responsibilities include:

  • Gather data and conduct analysis with the goal of improving the organization's total cost of ownership and customer value creation.
  • Identifies underperforming areas and suggest improvements or resolutions to problems.
  • Utilizes advanced analytical skills and business intelligence to enable sourcing process end-to-end from selection through performance management to stay ahead of any sourcing issues and maximize value to Grace.
  • Identify trends across all categories, with an outside-in viewpoint of business trends and customer voice, to drive continuous improvement for larger sourcing and procurement team.
  • Access and analyze SAP information, spend data, market trends, reports, and data.
  • Build financial models and predictive analytical models to support various business decisions.
  • Develop, implement and track Supply Chain scorecards, dashboards, and KPIs.
  • Coordinate with other professionals to implement changes and new systems.
  • Help foster trusting relationships with business partners.
  • Provide support to key initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Ability to translate raw data into usable information.  
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to link complex information and concepts ideas into actionable ideas that create value for Grace.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills to different levels/functions.
  • Detail oriented and capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks.
  • Understanding of planning, sourcing, procurement, and/or logistics business practices.

Required Experience

  • B.S. Degree preferably in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office® suite and SAP.
  • 3+ years' experience in a role that provides analytical support to a department/function and interfaces with suppliers/customers (both internal and external).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Financial Modeling
  • Previous experience supporting or working in a manufacturing setting.
