Job Description

The successful candidate for this Licensing Engineer position will be involved in multiple activities as part of the Licensing Engineering and Manufacturing group. These could include Process Design Package development for new plants, engineering studies for existing licensees, new plant commissioning and startup, and development and implementation of Grace’s Automated Process Control system. 

Major responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the development of Process Design Packages for new plants
  • Develop heat and material balances
  • Complete process equipment sizing calculations
  • Create process control instrumentation data sheets
  • Create process control logic diagrams
  • Create piping and instrument diagrams
  • Assist in new plant commissioning and startup
  • Create punch-list items of needed corrections
  • Perform process control logic checks
  • Assist in development and implementation of Grace’s Automated Process Control system

Required Experience

  • BS engineering
  • 10+ years of experience as process engineer
  • Experience in the petrochemical industry
  • Project and cost control experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chemical Engineering Degree preferred
  • Polyolefin experience a plus
