Job Description

The Compliance Manager has direct responsibility for the Food and Pharma GMPs, Food Safety and Quality compliance activities in the MT Business Unit.

This position has corporate oversight and the responsibility for controlling the quality risk associated with Quality Assurance activities that ensures high quality products and services that meet customer expectations and comply with FDA and international regulations. The Compliance Manager will develop and implement strategies and programs that manage Quality initiatives that help to mitigate risk while maintaining a high level of ethics and customer satisfaction.  The Compliance Manager will coordinate all FDA compliance for regulated materials as sold into the Food, Pharma and consumer markets.

This position works closely with the MT BQM, site quality managers, operations and various business support functions (Supply Chain, R&D, PT, and productivity) within the Engineered Materials business line to drive quality advancements in concert with business and quality strategies.  This position requires strong leadership and communication skills as well as a solid understanding of quality processes and FDA regulated operations.

The MT Compliance Manager will report to the Grace Global Quality Director.

Required Experience

  • 4 year B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Science
  • 10+ years of relevant cGMP and/or FDA experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Extensive knowledge of Quality System and Product Regulatory requirements (ISO 9001:2015 / ISO 13485:2006 / cGMP / HACCP / etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid knowledge of continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC, DFSS, Lean).  Certified Black Belt preferred.
