Job Description

Grace is seeking an Export Order Management Specialist who will be responsible for managing the order process from the acceptance of an order from the customer through the completion of the process of invoicing. Based out of Columbia, MD, this position will have contact with multiple areas of the sales and production process and with external relationships including Logistics providers, customers and others. The Export Order Management Specialist will build a relationship with the business segment team members to collaborate in order to support business plans and provide solutions throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:

•    Manage sales order from receipt of PO to delivery, including SAP order entry, administration, shipment planning and final delivery of goods to customer.
•    Confirm and verify information on purchase orders, including pricing, products, Inco term, freight term, payment terms.
•    Accountable for accurate data in SAP for sales orders, customer master info, invoicing, etc.
•    Coordinate with Operations staff and Supply Planning on material availability and on time shipments. 
•    Manage export logistics booking process with freight forwarder to meet customer delivery requirements and Grace product availability timing.
•    Communicate booking information and shipment plans to our customers and internal colleagues (plants, Supply, Sales Ops, regional teams). 
•    Generate and approve required export documentation for all shipments. 
•    Ensure understanding of Grace export routing guide for bookings, via Amber Road system.
•    Possess strong understanding of International Incoterms and the affiliation with Grace revenue recognition process.
•    Work with logistics provider to resolve equipment and routing issues.  
•    Manage all SAP and logistics requirements for stock in transit and intercompany shipments to Grace sites and any drop-ship customer location.  
•    Address and resolve customer inquiries accurately and in timely manner. 
•    Provide backup support and guidance to team members, and full coverage when needed.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain or other relevant Business areas.
  • Minimum 3 years in Order Management, Operations, Logistics, or other customer focused roles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of manufacturing and product delivery processes. 
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
