Job Description

Accountable for the continuous improvement of the logistics body of work to include applicable processes, methodologies, tools, standards, & operating procedures.
Accountable for the recognition, performance, and development of the Logistics Team.
Manages the allocation of logistics resources to achieve business goals, priorities, and key performance indicators.
Accountable for the safe handling, movement, and storage of raw materials, intermediates, and final products.
Interface with internal Grace corporate customers and product groups to validate order expectations are met or exceeded.
Conducts end-of-month close out activities.
Resolve raw material quality control issues with suppliers.
Assess logistics, loaders, & extended warehouse team capability to include coordinating team training requirements.
Manage investigation of shipment delays, shortcomings and complications with cross functional area teams.
Effectively drives the logistics team to alignment with Grace Manufacturing System (GMS) operations.  
Engage team members actively and openly in both field and office settings.

Required Skills

  • Must have bachelor's degree and related field experience in warehouse and distribution and/or manufacturing.
  • Must have proven track record of optimizing inventories, material planning and transporation.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of manufacturing, inventory control and scheduling is a must.

Required Experience

Must have experience in the storage and movement of materials; developing systems for accountability and accuracy and working knowledge of inventory controls.

Successful candidates for this role will be able to engage and develop the warehouse team and professionally interact with all levels of the organization.
