The Digitalization Program Manager is responsible for leading the rollout of the digital transformation program across the Grace Manufacturing sites. The position will coordinate across functions to ensure the transformation is completed on time, on budget and delivers the business value after deployment. 
 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the rollout of digital transformation across the manufacturing sites including regular update reviews with the project team, plant management as well as to the corporate stakeholders. Ensure that the projects stay within scope and are delivered on time and in budget. 
  • Work across the functions to design, develop, and implement digital solutions that improve efficiency and productivity including testing and quality assurance to ensure that digital solutions meet business requirements and are reliable
  • Work closely with the Change Management team to support adoption at sites and incorporate feedback from users appropriately. Track the use and value creation of the tools after the project has been completed and review with the stakeholders including any support, issues or changes necessary post rollout. 
  • Work closely with vendors and IT to document and address project elements that have operational impact to the site. 
  • Support the development and updates to the broader global digital rollout plans working with sites, IT and the Manufacturing Center of Excellence. 
  • Work with the Digital Operations Leader to build appropriate dashboards to track usage of the different technologies deployed at site
  • Build detailed project plans from technology selection, site deployment, site training and hyper care support to track project progress. 
  • Lead the rollout of Training for end-users on how to use new digital solutions and provide ongoing support and maintenance for digital solutions
  • Benchmark, recommend and implement digital best practices that deliver scalable and tangible financial benefits to Grace. 
  • Partner with the Digital Operations Leader to ensure that any back office digital activities are properly resourced and deliver within the broader project timeline. 
  • Serves as a global resource and champion of Industry 4.0 initiatives across the company

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering with at least 10 years of relevant experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing multi-million dollar budgets & projects designing and implementing technical, industrial, or digital solutions. Comprehensive understanding and experience of project management methodology and documentation critical.
  • At least 2 years in chemical operations roles. 
  • Excellent change, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Eager to learn with interest in new technologies, digitalization, and data analysis
  • Demonstrated understanding of chemical manufacturing processes including basic understanding of maintenance, production, and supply chain. 
  • Prior experience interfacing with operational systems (MES, ERP, DCS). Comfortable straddling the space between IT and OT, representing the combined state for manufacturing excellence
  • Up to 50% domestic and international travel

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Prior experience implementing digital transformation across multiple sites preferred. 
  • In-depth Experience in any of the following areas is a plus: IIoT, controls engineering, programming, digital twin, big data & analytics.
